Overview. After gaining experience working as both a public defender and prosecutor, Kurt Boehl founded his own criminal defense firm in 2005. Kurt's practice has been rated superb by the

Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating and was recently named a "rising star" in criminal defense by
Washington Law and Politics magazine.
Kurt has handled hundreds of cases. His approach to trial is thorough preparation and investigation combined with aggressive trial advocacy. Through that approach, Kurt has successfully argued cases at trial and negotiated favorable pre-trial resolutions for countless clients.
Case Highlights. Kurt successfully represented the president of a youth and community center, charged with felony theft in the first degree. Those charges were dismissed and no jail time served. Kurt also represented a client charged with VUCSA possession with intent to distribute cocaine and ecstasy. In that case, Kurt successfully argued to suppress evidence, and as a result, the charges were dismissed.
Experience. Kurt is a member of NACDL (National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers), WACDL (Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers), NORML (National Organizations for the Regulation of Marijuana Laws), and the King County Bar Association's Drug Policy Project. Kurt is also admitted to practice in Federal Court.
